This Friday it’s breaks and bass from outer space as Hidden Rooms invites a lineup of locals who like their frequencies down low. Tierra Sónica’s Arrocha and Anda Electronix’s SAMWHO join Seb H. for an evening session of subterranean sounds you won’t find anywhere else. 18-02, free entry all night!
Arrocha
Born and raised on the Canary Islands’ volcanic shores, Arrocha’s red hot beats bring dancefloors to the brink of eruption every time she steps in the club. Spending her musically formative years in the UK, breaks and bass are the tectonic foundations of all her sets. With stints in Berlin and most recently Rotterdam adding flavors into the mix, her tastes are a melting pot of forward-thinking sounds built directly for the dance.
SAMWHO
Raised on a healthy diet of reggae and dub, Rotterdam’s SAMWHO knows a thing or two about rhythm and bass. Identifying these influences in futuristic club tracks from the likes of Timedance and Livity Sound, he taps into a musical lineage that traces back to his Cape Verdean roots.
Seb H.
Spending his days in the depths of Discogs, Seb H. imports more heavy material into the Netherlands than the Rotterdam Port Authority. Spinning a wide selection of sub-bass and swinging rhythms, the UK-born artist selects sounds that remind him of home. When he’s not hunting for records, find him hosting the container at Operator, co-organizing proceedings at Hidden Rooms, or running parties at secret locations near you.
