“Friet bij de Stratos” is a group exhibition featuring recently graduated artists Robin van Leijsen, Lorena Rode, Juliette Geissler, and Fleur Flipse. With a focus on the tradition of food, each artist, hailing from different backgrounds, has created individual works for this exhibition. Despite working with different mediums, today marks the occasion when they all come together as one.
Snackbar Hero Stratos on Willem Buytewechstraat has recently become a gathering place where the group meets for dinner, engaging in conversations, discussing recent events, and shaping new ideas. Given the differences in their current lives, there is limited time for comprehensive dinners together, making Stratos the perfect venue for their reunions. It is also where the concept for the entire exhibition was cooked up.
The exhibition is built around the phenomenal ‘friet tafel,’ a nostalgic blast from Fleur’s childhood.
